Rachel dix for South Dakota

 Raised in Aberdeen, I have been fortunate to grow up surrounded by our amazing nature and outdoor sports. My favorite times are bass fishing at the river and kayaking through all our waterways in the north-eastern corner of the state. When the weather turns & the rut begins, you’ll find me camouflaged into a tree waiting to fill the freezer! Between the fishing, kayaking, archery & rifle deer seasons, I keep myself busy! I have yet to be on an archery turkey hunt, but that is next on the list! I look forward to meeting you & swapping some great stories!

  The Hubs: Nathan Dix – the one who cheers me on & reminds me to eat more than pop tarts! Nate and I married August 2014 and reside in Aberdeen, SD with our creatures. When the weather is right, you’ll find us exploring new places with our kayaks and spending the weekends at the river. One of our favorite adventures is hiking areas around the state with our pups, Lacy & Randy. In town, our favorite place for walking is the Kuhnert Arboretum on the south side of town & we are excited to keep watching all the improvements! 

I strongly believe in investing in our community through volunteerism. Participating in our community is how we grow as a city, and personally, as individuals. Volunteerism promotes collaboration within industries where you may end up working alongside a competitor for the greater good. Associations and most non-profits would not exist if it weren’t for you sharing your talents. THANK YOU!
